Protein structures and their features in UniProtKB

Annotation of proteins based on structure-based analyses is an integral component of the UniProt Knowledgebase (UniProtKB). UniProt works closely with the Protein Databank in Europe (PDBe) to map 3D structural entries (~100,000) to the corresponding UniProtKB accessions accurately. This webinar will cover how the correspondence between protein sequences and structures is established using the expertise of scientist database curator and developing automatic pipeline

This webinar was recorded on 7 March 2018.  The slides can be downloaded using the link below.

You can learn more about UniProt in our online tutorial UniProt: Exploring protein sequence and functional information.

For more information on accessing UniProt programmatically watch our webinar in Uniprot, programmatically

See the EMBL-EBI training pages for a list of upcoming webinars.

This webinar is for scientists at all career levels. No prior knowledge of bioinformatics is required, but an undergraduate level understanding of biology would be useful.
