Case study 1: SFLD

The Structure-Function Linkage Database (SFLD) is a hierarchical classification of enzymes that relates specific sequence-structure features to specific chemical capabilities.

This first case study describes how the protein signatures generated by the SFLD are arranged in relation to each other, and what can be inferred from their position within the hierarchy.

For further information, and support in using SFLD, see the documentation pages on the SFLD website. There are also a number of online tutorials available, as well as a helpdesk email address.
