Biomacromolecular structure resources at the EBI

EMBL-EBI’s Protein Data Bank in Europe  (PDBe) is the European resource for the collection, organisation and dissemination of data about biological macromolecular structures. PDBe is one of four partners in the Worldwide Protein Data Bank (wwPDB).

PDBe also develops and maintains several tools to search, retrieve, explore and analyse the data.

For an introduction to using PDBe see the course PDBe: Searching the Protein Data Bank. To explore the different ways you can search PDB entries, simply go to the PDBe website and use the search box.

A broad range of PDBe resources have been developed for a range of different use cases and include tools for browsing enzymes, folds, protein families etc., and our advanced search allows users to explore sequences or structure similarity search. Structures can also be deposited here and the latest PDB and EMDB entries can be viewed.
