Exercises
Let’s have a go at doing some exercises that focus on the experiment and sample information pages. Try to solve these exercises first by yourself before finding how we did it.
Exercise 1
Go to experiment E-MTAB-4294 and find out which of the sample attributes are experimental variables and which are not. Does this make sense?
Exercise 2
E-MTAB-2548 is a sequencing experiment. Have a look at the samples table. Each row with sample information has been duplicated. Can you guess why this is?
Hint: Open the extended samples table and find “Comment[LIBRARY_LAYOUT]” and “Scan Name” in the header.
Exercise 3
Is E-MEXP-2004 a one-colour or two-colour microarray experiment?
Hint: Check the “Label” column in the SDRF file or extended samples table.
