Next steps in gene prioritisation
Trainer: Ian Sealy
Overview: This session focuses on applying functional enrichment analysis for gene list biological interpretation. It demonstrates the g:Profiler toolset that handles gene lists from numerous organisms and performs enrichment analysis automatically.
Learning outcomes
After this session you should be able to:
- Identify what are functional gene sets
- Recognise Gene Ontology data sources
- Describe a functional enrichment analysis method
- Discover the g:Profiler tool for automated enrichment analysis
- Discover other tools in g:Profiler to handle gene lists
- Perform a hands-on practical exercises for using g:Profile
