Keynote lecture – spatial transcriptomics
Trainer:Â Vitalii Kleshchevnikov
Overview:
This session was part of the 2023 iteration of the ‘Introduction to RNA-Seq and functional interpretation’ course. Spatial transcriptomics aims to count the number of transcripts of a gene at distinct spatial locations in a tissue(https://doi.org/10.1186/s13073-022-01075-1). This session covers general aspects of spatial transcriptomics, its potential and current restrictions.

Learning objectives
After this session you should be able to:
- Describe the Cell2location model
- Identify informative spatial analysis application using the Cell2location model
