Introduction to tidy data and data visualisation with R

Overview: This session is an introduction to the tidyverse set of packages for the R language. It covers the concept of tidy data and examples of how to use the tidyverse packages for reading data into R, tidying data and rearranging the data prior to analysis. It then moves on to using the ggplot2 package for creating plots.

By the end of this session you will be able to:

  • Use tidyverse packages in R for data manipulation
  • Plot graphs using ggplot2 package
