Initiatives to support life sciences

Overview: There are a number of international initiatives focused on numerous aspects of supporting scientists to work with life-science data. If you are sitting outside this landscape it can be difficult to know what is out there, what is available for non-specialists and how you can access what is being developed. This session will introduce you to a number of such initiatives – it is not an exhaustive list, but will provide you with some good pointers to start exploring!
