Webinar
Introduction to AlphaFold Database programmatic access
In this webinar, we will present how to fetch and parse structural data via the AlphaFold Database’s (AFDB) APIs. The webinar will cover model file access, analysis of confidence scores, when to fetch predicted vs experimental models, and foundational structure data analysis.
This event is part of the 6-part webinar series “Accessing structural data programmatically with PDBe”. You can follow the link for more information about the series and its webinars.
Who is this course for?
This webinar is suitable for bioinformaticians, structural biologists, cell biologists, molecular biologists, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students; post-doctoral researchers, and software developers. Programming experience is not required, but some basic familiarity with Python is advised.
Outcomes
By the end of this webinar you will be able to:
- Navigate the AFDB pages from search to entry
- Access predicted models programmatically
- Assess structures for downstream analysis
- Use Python to parse and analyse structural data
This webinar, hosted on Zoom Webinar, is free to attend, but you need to register for a place beforehand, using the 'Register' button. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to join the webinar.
The webinar will be recorded, and the recording will be made available on this page one day after the event. Please note that we do not issue certificates of attendance for our webinars. However, you will receive an email from our Zoom account confirming your participation a day after the event
