A number of high-profile genetic variation datasets have recently been made publicly available by consortia or research groups such as 1000 Genomes, ExAC, deCODE and UK10K. These datasets are often prepared using independent methodologies or processing pipelines and can be accessed using only custom websites or FTP servers. This webinar describes the European Variation Archive (EVA) that aims to gather, normalise and annotate the variants from such datasets, and datasets that are submitted directly to us, via standardised pipelines.

This course is aimed at individuals who wish to learn more about the European Variation Archive.  No prior knowledge of bioinformatics is required, but an undergraduate level understanding of biology would be useful.
