Abstract

|
Reddish-brown crystals of metmyoglobin from horse heart have been obtained by
both the hanging drop and batch crystallization methods in the space group
P2(1), having a = 64.3 A, b = 28.9 A and c = 35.9 A, with beta = 107.1 degree.
Morphologically similar crystal forms have been obtained for three derivatives
of horse heart myoglobin having modified heme prosthetic groups.
