Family relationships

Kinesin-like protein KIFC3 is a minus-end microtubule-dependent motor protein. It is involved in apically targeted transport and is required for zonula adherens maintenance [PMID: 11581287]. It contains a kinesin motor domain. This entry also includes 'protein claret segregational' from Drosophila, which has also been shown to be a minus-end directed motor molecule [PMID: 2146510].
