Short name: Rcmb_RecR_C4-type_Zn

Overlapping homologous superfamilies

Domain relationships

The bacterial protein RecR seems to play a role in a recombinational process of DNA repair [PMID: 2674903, PMID: 15116069]. It may act with RecF and RecO.

RecR's structure consists of a N-terminal helix-hairpin-helix (HhH) motif, followed by a Cys4 zinc-finger motif, a Toprim domain and a Walker B motif [PMID: 15116069].

This entry represents the C4-type zinc finger.
