DNA polymerase 3, epsilon subunit (IPR006309)

Short name: DnaQ_proteo

Overlapping homologous superfamilies

Family relationships

These represent DnaQ, the DNA polymerase III epsilon subunit, as found in most Proteobacteria. It consists largely of an exonuclease region as described in IPR013520. In Gram-positive bacteria, closely related regions are found both in the Gram-positive type DNA polymerase III alpha subunit and as an additional N-terminal domain of a DinG-family helicase. Both are not included in this set of sequences, as they are smaller proteins.
