CdpA is a ring assembly and anchor protein. It forms part of an anchor complex linked to FtsZ2 and other cell division proteins [[cite:PUB00161026]]. This domain, which is predicted to show four transmembrane helices, possibly together with the linker region of CdpA, are important for CdpA midcell localisation, FtsZ1 ring condensation, and FtsZ2 ring assembly and positioning [[cite:PUB00161026]]. In CdpA and other members of this group, this domain is found associated with [pfam:PF23601]. In some other members these domains are associated with repeats of [pfam:PF07411]. AlphaFold predicts a confident dimeric structure for this domain.</p>","llm":false,"checked":false,"updated":false}],"wikipedia":null,"literature":{"PUB00161026":{"PMID":40450033,"ISBN":null,"volume":"16","issue":"1","year":2025,"title":"Cell division protein CdpA organises and anchors the midcell ring in haloarchaea.","URL":null,"raw_pages":"5076","medline_journal":"Nat Commun","ISO_journal":"Nat Commun","authors":["Liao Y","Shinde VD","Hu D","Xu Z","Soderstrom B","Michie KA","Duggin IG."],"DOI_URL":"https://doi.org/10.1038/s41467-025-60079-8"}},"set_info":null,"overlaps_with":null,"counters":{"subfamilies":0,"domain_architectures":11,"interactions":0,"matches":676,"pathways":0,"proteins":676,"proteomes":278,"sets":0,"structural_models":{"alphafold":634},"structures":0,"taxa":442},"entry_annotations":{"hmm":0,"logo":0,"alignment:seed":152,"alignment:full":296},"cross_references":{},"is_llm":false,"is_reviewed_llm":false,"is_updated_llm":false,"representative_structure":null}}
