This enzyme is a FabI-type ENR that employs NADH as a coenzyme and mediates resistance to triclosan. FabMG adopts an alpha/beta structure, with a central parallel beta-sheet elaborated with alpha-helices on both sides. FabMG differs from other related ENRs in sequence and structure. These differences, in particular in the substrate-binding loop and pocket regions in which triclosan binds, could be responsible for the triclosan resistance [[cite:PUB00154385]].</p>","llm":false,"checked":false,"updated":false}],"wikipedia":null,"literature":{"PUB00154385":{"PMID":32112503,"ISBN":null,"volume":"287","issue":"21","year":2020,"title":"A triclosan-resistance protein from the soil metagenome is a novel enoyl-acyl carrier protein reductase: Structure-guided functional analysis.","URL":null,"raw_pages":"4710-4728","medline_journal":"FEBS J","ISO_journal":"FEBS J","authors":["Kim SH","Khan R","Choi K","Lee SW","Rhee S."],"DOI_URL":"https://doi.org/10.1111/febs.15267"}},"set_info":{"accession":"CL0063","name":"NADP_Rossmann"},"overlaps_with":null,"counters":{"subfamilies":0,"domain_architectures":1,"interactions":0,"matches":237,"pathways":0,"proteins":237,"proteomes":231,"sets":1,"structural_models":{"alphafold":135},"structures":2,"taxa":393},"entry_annotations":{"hmm":0,"logo":0,"alignment:seed":80,"alignment:full":106},"cross_references":{},"is_llm":false,"is_reviewed_llm":false,"is_updated_llm":false,"representative_structure":{"accession":"6kia","name":"NADH bound structure of FabMG, novel type of Enoyl-acyl carrier protein reductase"}}}
