CASIMO1 controls cell proliferation and interacts with squalene epoxidase (SQLE) modulating lipid droplet formation. CASIMO1 RNA is overexpressed predominantly in hormone receptor-positive breast tumors. Loss of CASIMO1 disturbs the organisation of the actin cytoskeleton, leads to inhibitions of cell motility, and stalls the cell cycle in the G0/G1 phase [[cite:PUB00102005]].</p>","llm":false,"checked":false,"updated":false}],"wikipedia":null,"literature":{"PUB00102005":{"PMID":29765154,"ISBN":null,"volume":"37","issue":"34","year":2018,"title":"The cancer-associated microprotein CASIMO1 controls cell proliferation and interacts with squalene epoxidase modulating lipid droplet formation.","URL":null,"raw_pages":"4750-4768","medline_journal":"Oncogene","ISO_journal":"Oncogene","authors":["Polycarpou-Schwarz M","Groß M","Mestdagh P","Schott J","Grund SE","Hildenbrand C","Rom J","Aulmann S","Sinn HP","Vandesompele J","Diederichs S."],"DOI_URL":null}},"set_info":null,"overlaps_with":null,"counters":{"subfamilies":0,"domain_architectures":6,"interactions":0,"matches":1626,"pathways":0,"proteins":1626,"proteomes":714,"sets":0,"structural_models":{"alphafold":1524},"structures":0,"taxa":2179},"entry_annotations":{"hmm":0,"logo":0,"alignment:seed":10,"alignment:full":1407},"cross_references":{},"is_llm":false,"is_reviewed_llm":false,"is_updated_llm":false,"representative_structure":null}}
