This domain contains eight largely conserved cysteine residues and the region comprising amino acids 354 to 380 is important for protein trafficking to the vacuole. This protein is conserved in fungi, particularly S. pombe, but lacks representation in S. cerevisiae [[cite:PUB00156045]].</p>","llm":false,"checked":false,"updated":false}],"wikipedia":null,"literature":{"PUB00156045":{"PMID":39477503,"ISBN":null,"volume":null,"issue":null,"year":2024,"title":"A DUF3844 domain-containing protein is required for vacuolar protein sorting in Schizosaccharomyces pombe.","URL":null,"raw_pages":null,"medline_journal":"J Gen Appl Microbiol","ISO_journal":"J Gen Appl Microbiol","authors":["Inagawa T","Ohkubo K","Watanabe M","Morita T","Higuchi Y","Maekawa H","Takegawa K."],"DOI_URL":"https://doi.org/10.2323/jgam.2024.10.001"}},"set_info":null,"overlaps_with":null,"counters":{"subfamilies":0,"domain_architectures":19,"interactions":0,"matches":1295,"pathways":0,"proteins":1295,"proteomes":1272,"sets":0,"structural_models":{"alphafold":1087},"structures":0,"taxa":2694},"entry_annotations":{"hmm":0,"logo":0,"alignment:seed":83,"alignment:full":1048},"cross_references":{},"is_llm":false,"is_reviewed_llm":false,"is_updated_llm":false,"representative_structure":null}}
