From the structure of PDB:1j7x, the domain forms the N-terminal end of the module which is characterised as a serine-peptidase, [pfam:PF03572]. Peptidase_S41_N forms a three-helix bundle followed by a small beta strand and is termed domain A. Part of the peptidase domain folds back over domain A to create a largely hydrophobic cleft between the two domains. On binding of ligand domain A is structurally rearranged with respect to domain B [[cite:PUB00026288]].</p>","llm":false,"checked":false,"updated":false}],"wikipedia":null,"literature":{"PUB00026288":{"PMID":11796109,"ISBN":null,"volume":"10","issue":"1","year":2002,"title":"Crystal structure of the functional unit of interphotoreceptor retinoid binding protein.","URL":null,"raw_pages":"43-9","medline_journal":"Structure","ISO_journal":"Structure","authors":["Loew A","Gonzalez-Fernandez F."],"DOI_URL":"http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/S0969-2126(01)00698-0"}},"set_info":null,"overlaps_with":null,"counters":{"subfamilies":0,"domain_architectures":56,"interactions":0,"matches":5620,"pathways":0,"proteins":2795,"proteomes":1612,"sets":0,"structural_models":{"alphafold":2003},"structures":4,"taxa":4894},"entry_annotations":{"hmm":0,"logo":0,"alignment:seed":38,"alignment:full":3091},"cross_references":{},"is_llm":false,"is_reviewed_llm":false,"is_updated_llm":false,"representative_structure":null}}
