The N-terminal of the LOB protein  contains an approximately 100-amino acid conserved domain  (the LOB domain) that is present in 42 other Arabidopsis thaliana  proteins as well as in proteins from a variety of other plant  species. The LOB domain contains conserved blocks of amino acids  that identify the LOB domain (LBD) gene family. In particular, a  conserved C-x(2)-C-x(6)-C-x(3)-C motif, which is the defining  feature of the LOB domain, is present in all LBD proteins [[cite:PUB00018358]].</p>","llm":false,"checked":false,"updated":false}],"wikipedia":null,"literature":{"PUB00018358":{"PMID":12068116,"ISBN":null,"volume":"129","issue":"2","year":2002,"title":"The lateral organ boundaries gene defines a novel, plant-specific gene family.","URL":null,"raw_pages":"747-61","medline_journal":"Plant Physiol","ISO_journal":"Plant Physiol.","authors":["Shuai B","Reynaga-Pena CG","Springer PS."],"DOI_URL":"http://dx.doi.org/10.1104/pp.010926"}},"set_info":null,"overlaps_with":null,"counters":{"subfamilies":0,"domain_architectures":207,"interactions":0,"matches":19689,"pathways":0,"proteins":19543,"proteomes":382,"sets":0,"structural_models":{"alphafold":15891},"structures":1,"taxa":1125},"entry_annotations":{"hmm":0,"logo":0,"alignment:seed":133,"alignment:full":12247},"cross_references":{},"is_llm":false,"is_reviewed_llm":false,"is_updated_llm":false,"representative_structure":{"accession":"5ly0","name":"Crystal structure of LOB domain of Ramosa2 from Wheat"}}}
