IntEnz Enzyme Nomenclature

Accepted name:
phosphatidylinositol diacylglycerol-lyase
Other names:
1-phosphatidyl-D-myo-inositol inositolphosphohydrolase (cyclic-phosphate-forming)
1-phosphatidylinositol phosphodiesterase
monophosphatidylinositol phosphodiesterase
phosphatidylinositol phospholipase C
1-phosphatidyl-1D-myo-inositol diacylglycerol-lyase (1,2-cyclic-phosphate-forming)
Systematic name:
1-phosphatidyl-1D-myo-inositol 1,2-diacyl-sn-glycerol-lyase (1D-myo-inositol-1,2-cyclic-phosphate-forming)

This enzyme is bacterial. Activity is also found in animals, but this activity is due to the presence of EC, phosphoinositide phospholipase C.
