IntEnz Enzyme Nomenclature
EC 4.3.2.5

Names

Accepted name:
peptidylamidoglycolate lyase
Other names:
α-hydroxyglycine amidating dealkylase
HGAD
PAL
PGL
peptidyl-α-hydroxyglycine α-amidating lyase
peptidylamidoglycolate peptidylamide-lyase
Systematic name:
peptidylamidoglycolate peptidylamide-lyase (glyoxylate-forming)

Reaction

Comments:

The enzyme acts on the product of the reaction catalysed by EC 1.14.17.3 peptidylglycine monooxygenase, thus removing a terminal glycine residue and leaving a des-glycine peptide amide.
