EC 3.4.24.76

Names

Accepted name:
flavastacin
Systematic name:
-

Reaction

Cofactor

Comments:

A zinc metalloendopeptidase in peptidase family M12 (astacin family), secreted by the bacterium Flavobacterium meningosepticum. The specificity is similar to that of peptidyl-Asp metalloendopeptidase from Pseudomonas fragi (EC 3.4.24.33), but the two are reported to be structurally dissimilar.
