Upload files from Globus File Manager

Use the Upload action in Globus File Manager when you want to select summary-statistics files through your browser instead of using a Globus Personal Connect endpoint. This is convenient for smaller files and shorter transfers.

For large files or larger datasets, use Globus Personal Connect. Its dedicated transfer tooling is more reliable for large or long-running transfers.

Upload files to the submission collection

On the Submission Details page, click Upload summary statistics to open the Globus File Manager in a new tab.

Upload summary-statistics files only. Do not upload a separate README file to the Globus submission collection. Copy the README contents into the Readme or Readme text column of the submission form instead.

In the File Manager, select the GWAS Catalog submission collection in the left-hand panel. Open the collection actions menu in the middle of the screen and choose Upload. The annotated screenshot below shows the menu item to select.

Select the summary-statistics files from your computer, then start the upload.

The upload is performed by Globus through the File Manager. It is not the same as uploading the completed metadata submission form in the Submission App.

Upload only data files to the submission collection. Do not create subdirectories, because this will prevent the submission pipeline from finding your files.

You must wait for confirmation that the upload has completed before clicking Submit submission form in the Submission App.
