CHEBI:138435 - bis(7)-tacrine

Main ChEBI Ontology Automatic Xrefs Reactions Pathways Models
ChEBI Name bis(7)-tacrine
Definition A secondary amino compound consisting of two molecules of tacrine that are linked together through their exocyclic amino groups by a heptane-1,7-diyl chain. Bis(7)-tacrine is an acetylcholinesterase (AChE)inhibitor (IC50 0.40 nM, >1,000 times more potent than tacrine). It has also been found to protect against H2O2 -induced apoptosis in rat pheochromocytoma cells.
Stars This entity has been manually annotated by the ChEBI Team.

2017-09-25 Links to ChEMBL are created automatically based on matching structures. The links are currently created every month (normally on the first day of each month), so there will be a period (between 1 day and 1 month) after the initial entry is visible on the ChEBI website before the links appear (in the Automatic Xrefs tab).
