ChEBI Name rac-nortilidine
ChEBI ID CHEBI:77829
ChEBI ASCII Name rac-nortilidine
Definition A racemate comprising (1R,2S)- and (1S,2R)-nortilidine. The synthetic narcotic analgesic tilidine is a prodrug for nortilidine, being metabolised to it in the liver. Virtually all of the opioid analgesic effects of racemic nortilidine, which are comparable to those of morphine, are due to the (1S,2R) enantiomer.
