2010-12-14 Remifentanil hydrochloride is a potent short-acting (5-10 minutes) opioid μ-receptor agonist administered intravenously for analgesia during induction and/or maintenance of general anaesthesia, and for analgesia and sedation in ventilated patients under intensive care.
