General Comment
2011-01-11 Trazodone is a serotonin uptake inhibitor that is used as the hydrochloride salt as an antidepressive agent. It does not have very significant antimuscarinic properties, but has a marked sedative action. It has been shown to be effective in patients with major depressive disorders and other subsets of depressive disorders. It is generally more useful in depressive disorders associated with insomnia and anxiety.
