E-MTAB-11 - Transcription profiling of peripheral blood mononuclear cells taken from rheumatoid arthritis patients before and after treatment with Ethanercept (Enbrel)

Rheumatoid Arthritis patients were with Ethanercept (Enbrel), blocking the TNF alpha signalcascade by receptor mimicri. Peripheral blood samples were taken at 3 timepoints, before the first and 2 next drug injections after 3 and 6 days (t0, t1 (72h), t2 (144h)). Peripheral blood mononuclear cells were isolated by standard Ficoll gradient centrifugation. Whole RNA samples were profiled on Affymetrix Human Genome U95A and Human Genome U133A arrays. Later time point were analysed against timepoint 0 and differential gene expression signatures were correlated to clinical data i.e. responsiveness.

This experiment was reloaded into ArrayExpress on 27th January 2010 to fix errors in the CEL and CHP file association with hybridizations.
