Resequencing Informatics Coordinator - Cochrane team: European Nucleotide Archive
Laura Clarke leads resequencing informatics in the Vertebrate Genomics group at EMBL-EBI. Resequencing Informatics provides data managment, primary analysis and data distribution services for large sequencing consortia like the 1000 Genomes Project, Blueprint, HipSci and FAANG. Laura studied genetics and bioinformatics at Leeds University before joining the Ensembl project in 2001 at the height of the Human Genome Project. She created the primary gene sets associated with the rat, macaque and platypus genomes, and is involved major efforts to identify functional elements in the genomes of cattle, goat, pig and chicken.
