Bioinformatician/Software Engineer - Parkinson team: Samples, Phenotypes and Ontologies
Adam is a Software enginerr in the Samples, Phenotypes and Ontologies team, working on the BioSamples database. His responsibilities are wide-ranging, comprising software engineering, data curation, bioinformatics and user support. Adam is a Java programmer using the agile methodology, and coordinates with external collaborators at a range of international organisations. He obtained his PhD from the University of York, with a thesis on “Sub-symbolic Artificial Chemistry for Artificial Life”. He holds a MSc in Bioinformatics from the University of York, and a BSc in Genetics from the University of Nottingham.
