IntAct release 165 highlight: the SH3 interactome

10 Jun 2013 - 16:36

With release 165, IntAct now offers 314,019 binary interactions from 6485 manually curated publications.

IntAct, the open-source protein interaction database, derives its entries from literature curation or direct user submissions. The data are freely available, and you can find the latest release on the FTP site:

InAct features data from "SH3 interactome conserves general function over specific form," by Xin et al., Mol Syst Biol. 2013; 9: 652.

Src homology 3 (SH3) domains bind peptides to mediate protein–protein interactions that assemble and regulate dynamic biological processes. The authors suggest a model of network evolution where general function of the SH3 domain network is conserved over its specific form.
