InterProScan 5

We are delighted to announce the official release of InterProScan 5 (version 5-44.0). This latest version features a complete redesign of the InterProScan software that is highly flexible and allows robust protein functional analysis. To learn more about it, please visit our Introduction page:

Support for InterProScan 4.8 is still available for download, but we strongly recommend installing InterProScan 5.

InterPro version 44.0

InterProScan 5 uses data from the newly released InterPro 44.0, which contains 25,090 entries and includes updates to SUPERFAMILY (1.75), PIRSF (2.84), PANTHER (8.1).

InterPro 44.0 integrates 178 new methods from the PANTHER, PIRSF and Pfam databases, and covers 81.5% of UniProt Knowledgebase release 2013_09. It predicts Gene Ontology (GO) terms for over 27 million UniProt proteins via the InterPro2GO pipeline.

The new release includes updates to InterPro Methods matches to UniParc (uniparc_match.tar.gz) and UniMES (unimes_match.tar.gz). These can be found on our ftp site:
