Calling data resource users: we need your feedback

EMBL-EBI’s mission is to help scientists realise the potential of big data in biology, exploiting complex information to make discoveries that benefit humankind. One avenue for delivering this mission is to provide freely available data resources and tools to the global scientific community. 

To monitor the impact of these resources and shape their future development, EMBL-EBI has launched a survey asking its users for feedback.

The survey takes 10 minutes to complete and is open between 20 May and 7 June 2024. EMBL-EBI welcomes responses from all over the world, regardless of usage level. 

“Just like a gardener needs tools, scientists need data. The data resources that EMBL-EBI manages are among the most accessed in the world, but they must continuously evolve to meet our users’ needs,” said Jo McEntyre, EMBL-EBI’s Deputy Director. “For this purpose, we’re asking our users to fill in a short survey and help us understand how they use our resources and tools, what value the resources bring to their work, and how they can be improved. We would like to hear from users around the world, especially those working in low-resource settings.”
