In collaboration with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in London, EMBL-EBI is offering a number of paid internships to students who are working at the Master’s level in computer science, bioinformatics, molecular biology with a strong quantitative component or equivalent background, at Dutch universities.
If you are passionate about computer science or statistics and want to stretch your skills, an internship at EMBL-EBI will give you a unique opportunity to explore new frontiers in biomedical and biotech research.

We welcome applications from students enrolled in a Dutch Higher Education Institution for a Master’s level programme. You would need to be receiving student finance (“studiefinanciering”) from the Dutch government for the duration of your internship to be eligible for this scheme. PhD students are not eligible.
Applications for internships in 2026 are now closed. The call for applications for internships in 2027 will open in autumn 2026.
PLEASE NOTE – We will not reply to enquiries outside of the application period.
