EMBL-EBI / French Embassy in London Internships
In collaboration with the French Embassy in London, we are offering a number of paid internships to computer-science, statistics and bioinformatics students who are working at the Master’s level or equivalent at French universities or grandes écoles.
If you are passionate about computer science or statistics and want to stretch your skills, an internship at EMBL-EBI will give you a unique opportunity to explore new frontiers in biomedical, biotech, agri-food, marine, and biodiversity research.
Who is eligible for the internship programme?
We welcome applications from any French citizen or anyone registered and studying at a French higher-education establishment at the Master’s level or equivalent. PhD students are not eligible.
How to apply?
Eligible candidates are invited to apply through our application form. The application deadline is Sunday, December 7, 2025. Candidates should expect to be notified of the outcome of their application by the end of January.
Before applying, candidates are expected to get in contact with an EMBL-EBI group leader to discuss possible projects and the duration of the internship (usually in the range of 3 to 6 months). The best way to proceed is therefore to look at the list of research groups (https://www.ebi.ac.uk/research) and service teams (https://www.ebi.ac.uk/services) and contact those that peak your interest to see which type of projects they are proposing and whether they would be interested in hosting you.
