A second gene product, GPC, is CC translated from a virus-sense mRNA, coded for by the 5' end of the CC S RNA, and does not overlap the sequence coding for the N protein. CC No other open reading frame large enough to code for GPC was CC identified and AA analysis supports the idea that the annotated CC open reading frame codes for GPC . CC There is a unique RNA sequence between the coding regions for the CC N-protein and GPC that can be arranged in a hairpin configuration CC and may function as a transcription terminator for both genes.
