The genome is polyadenylated on the 3' CC end and may be capped with a protein (VPg) on the 5' end (by CC analogy with other picornaviruses). CC Based on homology, HRV14 appears most closely related to poliovirus CC type 1 (PV-1); on these grounds, both [1] and [2] tentatively CC predict a number of mature products resulting from cleavage of the CC polyprotein precursor. The only major differences in these CC identifications concern the VP3 and VP1 coding sequences, about CC which [1] is uncertain.
