Hosting training at your institute

Would you like EMBL-EBI’s trainers to come to you and teach your researchers how to use the bioinformatics resources most relevant to their research? Contact us to find out more.

Modules

We offer a range of half-day and full-day modules, which can be combined to suit different audiences. Take a look at our modules, or browse upcoming and past workshops (below) for inspiration.

As well as contributing to EMBL-EBI-wide training events, some of our teams run workshops dedicated to a single resource:

  • Find out about Ensembl training.
  • Find out about PDBe training.

BioExcel: Workflow Training for Computational Biomolecular Research
Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Computer Architechture Dept at Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, c/Jordi Girona, 29, 08034,  Barcelona,  Barcelona, Spain
20th 21st Oct

Complex scientific studies require elaborate software pipelines necessitating interconnection of different tools and sources of data. In some cases, the complexity of the pipeline forces the definition of process dependencies, especially when those processes can be launched asynchronously in High Performance Computing (HPC) systems. Workflow managers such as Galaxy, Apache Taverna, PyCOMPSs, KNIME or Copernicus can be used to tackle this particular issue.
