Who owns science?     Cambridge Science Festival     The Ready, Steady, Sort! game at the Cambridge Science Festival

EMBL-EBI runs public events as part of its Science and Society programme and the Cambridge Science Festival. In recent years, the Science and Society events have discussed how science helps us to understand addiction (2013), and how we can understand life itself - from both philosophical and scientific perspectives (2014).

The next Science and Society event - Pandemic! The global threat of deadly diseases - is taking place at the Cambridge Union Society on Wednesday 3 June 2015. This is a free drop-in event, but if you would like an email reminder before the day, please register your interest.

Every year staff from EMBL-EBI and the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute enjoy meeting visitors of all ages at the Cambridge Science Festival. We run hands-on activities for all ages in the Corn Exchange on 'Discovering DNA'.
