Multiple data tracks relating to gene regulation can be turned on in the 'region in detail' page for human and mouse. These tracks range from summarised data in the 'Regulatory features' tracks, individual transcription factor binding sites and histone modifications, to DNA methylation data.
Turn tracks on using 'Configure this page', in the 'Regulation' menu.
Clicking on 'Open chromatin & TFBS' or 'Histones & polymerases' will reveal a matrix of possible cell types and features to choose from. For example, clicking on 'Open chromatin & TFBS' opens the following matrix.
DNase 1 hypersensitive sites, FAIRE sites, and a whole host of transcription factor binding sites may be turned on for all cell types studied (MultiCell), or individual cell types (like CD4 cells).
In the example above, DNase I hypersensitive sites are shown in green, and 'Reg Feats' are shown as grey boxes. Click on any of the boxes for more information.
For an overview of the sources of our gene regulation data, see the 'Gene regulation' page in this course.
