Course Overview

This 3 day meeting does involve 3 distinct events:

 

Data Management Meeting: DL-62 (01-03 June 2011)

The purpose of this meeting is to give an opportunity to APO-SYS partners to gain an understanding of the data management process of the consortium as well as an insight into how this data can be used.

This will involve:

  • To illustrate how partners' submitted data fits in the EBI public databases and showcase existing analysis tools
  • Organise face-to-face meeting between attendees and representatives of specific EBI resources to facilitate data submission
  • To teach how workflow technology (e.g. Taverna) can be used to access data submitted to EBI and draw on the expertise of the attendees to create sample workflows that answer biologically relevant questions

GO Content Meeting for Apoptosis: DL-119 (01 June 2011)

This workshop is going to bring the GO editorial team and a selected number of APO-SYS domain experts together to enhance the representation of Apoptosis in the GO Ontology. Five Apoptosis experts from the consortium will be chosen for their joint ability to express the breadth and depth of the Apoptosis process, while the GO editorial board will help structure and integrate the expert's knowledge into the GO ontology.

APO-SYS Collaborative Meeting (03 June 2011)

This meeting will give an opportunity to review the work which remains to be accomplished until the end of the project and a new occasion for young scientists to meet and start collaborations.
