An overview of each of the databases will introduce participants to the types of data, the way the data are stored and the connection between databases. Subsequently database-specific lectures will address the programmatic accessibility of the data and data integration between resources. This new knowledge will then be applied in hands-on tutorials. Course requirementsThis course is especially intended for bioinformaticians with literacy in java and some prior experience (or basic understanding) with Web Services.
