Course Overview

Is it right for me?

  • This course is intended for both experimental biologists and computational scientists.
  • Participants will be assumed to have a basic understanding of biology but will not need to be computer scientists.
  • The prime objective of the course is to convey an appreciation of the range and capabilities of the protein related services made available at the EBI

What will I learn?

  • You will be introduced to the different protein sequence databases.
  • How to search for your sequence, identify it and perform some functional analysis.
  • Introduction to different types of data and information you can extract including protein interactions, ontologies and pathways.
