Comments: Carboxypeptidases of broad specificity with optimum pH 4.5-6.0, inhibited by the action of diisopropyl fluorophosphate, and sensitive to thiol-blocking reagents. This enzyme is probably also identical to lysosomal tyrosine carboxypeptidase. Belongs to peptidase family S10. Formerly Ec 3.4.12.1, Ec 3.4.12.12, Ec 3.4.16.1, Ec 3.4.16.3 and Ec 3.4.21.13.
