CollaborationsCollaborations beyond formal collaborations in funded grants
Student ProjectsThe Proteomics Services Team offers a range of student projects, at undergraduate level, e.g. for an MSc thesis.Computational projects will usually implement new features for our existing database systems, in particular the IntAct (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/intact/) and PRIDE (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/pride/) databases. The available projects range across a broad spectrum, from data analysis, evaluation, and statistics, to web interfaces and data visualisation. Projects will always be based on our open source, production quality database applications, and will contribute to the publicly accessible systems if successful. Examples of recent publications resulting from Marie Curie >> tranineeships/student projects are pmids 18508856, 18047271. All students are supervised by experienced staff members and have access to a broad array of local experts for the technologies used. All applicants should have solid knowledge of Java and relational databases, with domain-specific knowledge in molecular biology a definite plus. FundingCurrent funding for the Proteomics Services team is generously provided by:
