  • The role of the Ensembl group inside this project is, to manage, query and visualise data resulting from whole-genome sequencingtechnologies. Support for for the exploitation of this and possible other heigh density genotyping data will be integrated into the freely available Ensembl platform.

  • The group around Prof. Dr. David Balding will develop statistical methods and tools to further exploit resequencing data.
    
    
• Solexa
  
  • Solexa will provide the resequencing technology which will enable very dense genotyping for a (by todays standards) very low cost.
