    1. If you do not already have a PRIDE account, create one here (after which you will be logged in automatically).

    2. Create a PRIDE XML file using the PRIDE Converter tool. Please take a moment to review the Submission Guidelines before you create your submission files.

    3. Recommended: Check your PRIDE XML file using the PRIDE Inspector tool.

    4. Email pride-support@ebi.ac.uk for FTP details to upload your generated PRIDE XML file(s). We will send you an email with the FTP details.

    5. Upload your XML file(s) to the FTP server. Send us an email once the upload is complete.

    6. Our curators will submit your data on your behalf and will contact you if any further information is required. Upon successful submission, you will receive an email with the detais of your submission, which you can include in your manuscript.

NOTE: Unless specifically requested otherwise, we will submit your dataset(s) as 'private', which means you need to be logged-in to view your data. We will however also create a reviewer account for your submission which you can include in your manuscript. By default, your data will be made publicly available after your manuscript has been accepted, or when we have your instructions to do so.

While we may also receive acceptance notifications from Journals, we would like to ask all submitters to kindly notify us separately.

Please contact pride-support@ebi.ac.uk for assistance or advice.

Online submissions are not possible. All submissions have to be uploaded via FTP. Please contact pride-support@ebi.ac.uk to obtain the FTP details to upload your PRIDE XML file(s).

Software Tools

The PRIDE Converter is a free, open source tool that converts MS data into valid PRIDE XML. It is a convenient, wizard-like graphical user interface written in Java with efficient access to the Ontology Lookup Service (OLS) for easy data annotation with ontology terms. PRIDE Converter supports a broad variety of input formats; see the project homepage for more information on supported formats, and instructions on how to download and use the application.

New Tool PRIDE Inspector is a free, open source tool for visualizing and performing initial assessment on the PRIDE XML files generated using PRIDE Converter. You can download it from here.

A PRIDE XML preparation tool is also available from a third party project, using the ISA Infrastructure (http://isatab.sourceforge.net/).

For those wishing to create a pipeline from their data warehouse to PRIDE XML, the PRIDE core API can be used to generate valid XML files. Information on how to use the PRIDE API can be found here
