PDB entry 5ptp (supersedes 4ptp)
STRUCTURE OF HYDROLASE (SERINE PROTEINASE)
The structure was published by Finer-Moore, J.S., Kossiakoff, A.A., Hurley, J.H., Earnest, T., and Stroud, R.M., in 1992 in a paper entitled "Solvent structure in crystals of trypsin determined by X-ray and neutron diffraction." (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.34 Å and deposited in 1997.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was not deposited.
The PDB entry contains the structure of BETA TRYPSIN. This molecule has the UniProt identifier P00760 (TRY1_BOVIN). The sample contained 223 residues which is 97% of the natural sequence. Out of 223 residues 223 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule is most likely monomeric.
