REFINED ATOMIC STRUCTURES OF N9 SUBTYPE INFLUENZA VIRUS NEURAMINIDASE AND ESCAPE MUTANTS

The structure was published by Tulip, W.R., Varghese, J.N., Baker, A.T., et al., Laver, W.G., Webster, R.G., and Colman, P.M., in 1991 in a paper entitled "Refined atomic structures of N9 subtype influenza virus neuraminidase and escape mutants." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.3 Å and deposited in 1991.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.

The PDB entry contains the structure of NEURAMINIDASE N9. This molecule has the UniProt identifier P03472 (NRAM_I75A5)search. The sample contained 388 residues which is < 90% of the natural sequence. Out of 388 residues 388 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.

It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.

The molecule most likely forms homotetramers.
